Neurofeedback & Brain Mapping

EEG brain mapping. Neurofeedback. HRV. Personalized nervous-system training informed by objective data and clinical context.

How Brain Mapping Is Used

Measure

Collect EEG data with a comfortable, non-invasive sensor system.

Interpret

Analyze brain maps and identify patterns of dysregulation or areas for training.

Train

Use neurofeedback to help the brain move toward more optimal patterns.

Reassess

Track progress with follow-up brain maps and clinical measures.

What Is Brain Mapping?

Brain mapping uses EEG data to examine electrical activity patterns across different brain regions. Quantitative EEG (qEEG) analyzes brainwave activity, helping to identify patterns associated with attention, regulation, cognitive function, and overall nervous-system performance. A brain map is always interpreted together with symptoms, clinical history, medications, sleep, cognition, behavior, and goals.

Learn more about qEEG →

Power

Relative or absolute power in different frequency bands across regions.

Asymmetry

Differences in activity between left and right regions.

Coherence / Connectivity

How regions communicate and synchronize over time.

Raw EEG

Moment-to-moment electrical activity recorded at each sensor site.

Note: Red or blue markers do not automatically signal good or bad; interpretation depends on the metric and clinical context.

The Mechanism of Neurofeedback

Operant Conditioning of Brain Waves

Neurofeedback utilizes the principles of operant conditioning to reward the brain for producing desirable electrical patterns. When the EEG sensors detect brainwave activity that meets the specific clinical thresholds—such as increased SMR for focus or decreased high-beta for anxiety—the system provides immediate, positive sensory feedback. Through thousands of repetitions within a single session, the brain learns to favor these regulated states over habitual patterns of dysfunction.

Sensory Feedback Loops & Neuroplasticity

This real-time feedback loop facilitates long-term neuroplasticity. By making the brain's internal electrical environment visible through external audio and visual cues, we enable the nervous system to rewire itself. This process isn't just a temporary shift; it is a physiological learning event. As the brain becomes more proficient at self-regulation, it builds new neural pathways that remain stable even after the training sessions have concluded.

What Drew Me to Neurofeedback

I started my professional journey in the pharmaceutical sector, gaining deep insights into how biochemical pathways and neurotransmitters influence human health. As I transitioned into the realm of integrative wellness, I began seeking tools that could quantify and enhance nervous-system efficiency without relying solely on external chemistry.
Neurofeedback provided the missing link, offering a sophisticated method to analyze real-time electrical rhythms and implement data-driven training protocols. My current practice is defined by this blend of pharmacological knowledge and cutting-edge neuroplasticity, aimed at helping clients achieve lasting neural self-regulation.
